This CCNA Boot Camp can be offered using one of three methods either a simulator an emulator or real hardware.
1. Simulators are programs that pretend to be routers and pretend to use the IOS, as such their functionality is fixed also they operate in a single PC environment with no capability for interaction over a network with other PC’s.
2. Emulators are a software shell into which is loaded a genuine copy of Cisco’s IOS therefore they have the entire command set of which ever version of IOS is loaded. We can configure a network to be exactly the same as the hardware pod and also an emulated network can be connected to a classroom LAN to give the full functionality of the hardware solution.
3. Hardware mounted in flight cases with removable lids at each end means that the course is not tied to a particular location, also delegates get actual Cisco product to practise with which obviously uses the full range of IOS commands.
